New attractions for Summer Gala in Huntington, York

This year’s Huntington Summer Gala will be held on Sunday 18th August on the playing field of Huntington Sports and Social Club, North Lane, Huntington, York. In addition to the many free attractions, there will be stalls run by local charities and organisations, plus magic and dance groups performing in the large marquee. Refreshments will be on sale in the small marquee with all profits to be divided among the charities taking part. A hot food BBQ will be run by Friends of Huntington School.

A 27-foot high climbing tower will be among the new attractions at this year’s Huntington Summer Gala to be held on the playing field of Huntington Sports and Social Club, North Lane, Huntington, York, on Sunday 18th August, 2019.

The tower will have four different climbing faces to suit all ages and abilities. There will be supervisor staff on hand to advise and ensure all participants get the maximum enjoyment from using the tower. There will also be safety harnesses and helmets to keep you free from harm while attempting your climb.

Other new attractions will include a Circus Skills arena in which all ages can have a go at typical circus skills like tightrope walking, uni-cycling, clowning and stilt walking. These are guaranteed to provide fun and golden photo opportunities!

Another first for this year is a Go-kart circuit with special karts designed for grass and aimed at 5 to 10-year-olds. An inflatable circuit barrier will keep drivers and spectators safe at the same time keeping the karts from straying off circuit.
